Valley Verges is a community-led, volunteer-run initiative based in White Gum Valley, Western Australia.
Together, we transform suburban verge spaces—those underutilised strips of land between footpaths and roads—into thriving native biodiversity gardens.
By organising practical workshops, building habitat infrastructure, and fostering grassroots participation, Valley Verges showcases how communities can regenerate local ecosystems, support endangered species, and combat the climate crisis at a local scale.

Who we are & why we do it…
Since 2019 we’ve transformed approximately 5,000 square metres of verges into biodiverse gardens, put 15,000 plants into the ground, and attracted over 400 people to our workshops and busy bees (and counting). We’ve also given away over 35,000 plants across three native plant giveaways!
